Bartley House is a refurbished Victorian townhouse on Whitby's West Cliff, five minutes' walk from the beach, the harbour and town. It sleeps eight across four bedrooms — a kingsize master, two doubles and a twin — and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The lounge and the dining room both have a TV with Netflix and Prime, the dining table seats all eight, and the kitchen is fully fitted. Private off-street parking plus permits for street parking, fast Wi-Fi throughout, and dogs stay free. Amazing house in a superb location with parking
Amazing house, tastefully decorated with large rooms and lots of space. Large parking area at the back plus card for parking on the front. Immaculately clean with four comfortable bedrooms all with en suite and had everything we needed. We had our two children and partners and grandchild and the house suited all the family. The hosts were very helpful replying immediately with any questions. Superb location close to all local amenities. We wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely go back again.

Liked: We provided our own food as agreed. Location was brilliant . One space to park a car Plus a card for Parking on the streets. The house suited our needs. This is the fourth time we have rented a House in Whitby And they have all been good, but this was the best. Disliked: The lock on the back door was a little bit stiff.

Liked: The location was perfect and with a parking space included this was a huge added bonus! 5 minute walk into the centre of Whitby. There were scratch cards/permits in the property for other staying guests.We had a few questions before arrival and these were answered promptly by Amanda and Matt. The accommodation was superb! The house was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfy and we had everything we needed and more for our 3 night stay, from lovely soft white towels to every kitchn utensil you could think of. The decor, furniture and plush carpets were beautiful, everything was to an extremely high standard, even down to an umbrella in the hallway. The bathrooms were fabulous, clean, antibac soap in each one, a basket in the shower cubicles for shampoos etc which you dont often get!, attention to detail was spot on. Wifi, sky TV and a seating area at the rear (theres even a parasol for warmer weather) Teabags, coffee, sugar and two pints of milk were availabe. A lovely complimentary tray on arrival too. I can't recommend this accommodation highly enough, thank you Amanda and Matt for a perfect stay. Disliked: Nothing to dislike!

Beautiful, well-equipped house in an ideal location for the old town and harbour.
A really lovely house and well situated for an easy walk down through the independent shops on the way to the harbour. The house was warm, extremely well equipped and immaculately clean. In winter we didn't use the outside space at the rear but I could see it would be very handy for the summer. With two very elderly relatives we much appreciated having bathroom facilities on each floor. Parking outside was easy and the location was perfect for us. It has been a few years since we were in Whitby and I thought that the town was doing very well (unlike quite a few seaside places). We had a fantastic meal at the Magpie Cafe and had ordered a three bird Christmas roast from Radfords in Sleights - which was enormous and would have been twice the price where we live in London. All in all a very happy visit and we hope to come again - many thanks!

Just to echo the others that have stayed and reviewed the place. Couldn’t have been better we were a group of 8 friends having a reunion. Central everything in walking distance, great pubs, eateries, a 10 minute walk to the castle. Big rooms comfy beds, that we all had a en suite was a bonus. One thing could be added to the kitchen would be an air fryer which would save Amanda money. Lovely touch to have tea/coffee provided, didn’t expect that. An Alexa was great too. Thanks Amanda, I’ll certainly be recommending your lovely home

Fantastic house in great location. Very clean and newly decorated Having enough bathrooms was brilliant. We didn’t get to spend much time at home, although we cooked every night great to have a big enough table for us all. It was quiet and restful although some people found the beds rather soft.

Wonderful stay at Amanda's house and wish it could have been for longer. Lovely clean, peaceful and cosy house and so close to all we needed especially Botham's bakery which we visited every day. Most things are within walking distance so the house is so ideal for cafe's, restaurants, shops and the harbour. Excellent visit to Whitby museum which is well worth a visit and so much to see. Amanda and Matt were very helpful throughout our stay and communicated whenever we contacted them and also came out to see us as we had an issue with the heating which they sorted quickly. The parking space was a real benefit as the road was always busy and full with cars. All in all a wonderful stay and are looking for next year now.

The property was immaculate and had everything we needed for our stay, little touches such as tea, coffee and sugar were very much appreciated. Plenty of towels, comfy beds with lovely soft duvets. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with great showers and a bath. Walking distance to the town and beaches, we didn't need to go out in the car for the whole of our holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Outstanding property. Clean & tidy. awesome location. excellent bakery 30 sec walk. The Granby pub at the bottom of the street was good. Nice food reasonably priced too. Bothams bakery 30 sec walk ( did I mention that already?) but seriously that bakery is excellent. Short walk to the beach. You can get 2 cars on the courtyard. I had an estate and a fiat 500 parked up nice. Saves you from the special forces traffic wardens ( they are lethal with their rapid fire parking fines) all in all a fantastic location with very modern furniture, sky TV. Wifi on all floors. A very comfortable stay. Thank you to Amanda & Matt for allowing us to Airbnb your fantastic property. Bothams is a must. The Granby will have fish special on the menu for the next few weeks after a very successful fishing trip (too much fish for the freezer so I exchanged some for beer) with Libby's down at the harbour. absolutely loved it.

Fantastic family holiday in a beautiful house & location great we could not have asked for more.
Liked: The house was beautiful ( the photos don’t do it justice) location was fantastic and it had everything in it you could want for a holiday. Only one criticism if you could even call it that, due to the fact the entry is open where you park your car someone had let their dog wander in and there was dog Pooh at each side of the car which we had to step over to get in the car, but fully understand that’s down to the owners of the dogs. But cannot fault the house or location as both 10/10 😊 Disliked: Everything was fantastic just the issue about the dog Pooh
